Quadrant
_A layered table
The glass layers beneath the tabletop are mirrored, so that they appear as complete circles.
The reflective support structure mirrors the surroundings, recedes visually, and lets the circles float.
The lightly tinted glass keeps the layers legible. As the glass layers build up, the concentric circles grow darker.
Depth in layers.
Light and reflection play freely.
When not in use, Quadrant remains in the space like a sculpture.
PS
The starting point for this design came from a simple observation: when a table is not in use, it remains a large, empty plane in the room and sometimes becomes a place where objects naturally accumulate.
The layered structure beneath the tabletop allows things to be temporarily stored.
