Quadrant
_A layered table
The design of this table stems from a simple observation: when not in use, it remains a large, empty surface in the space and thus often becomes a magnet for objects. This observation serves as the formative principle.
The layered structure beneath the tabletop allows for temporary storage.
The glass layers are mirrored, appearing as full circles. The reflective support structure mirrors the surroundings, recedes visually, and lets the circles float.
The lightly tinted glass keeps the layers legible. Concentric circles darken as the glass layers stack.
Depth like a frozen whirlpool.
Light and reflection play freely.
Unused, Quadrant remains a kind of sculpture in the space.
